Kicking off the season’s New York holiday party calendar, the New York City Power Group held it second annual Holiday Celebration on December 7th at Haworth’s flagship Park Avenue showroom.
The group of approximately one hundred, comprised of members and their guests, enjoyed a sumptuous international buffet and premium libations. Those who attended the event, representing all walks of the business community, were also entertained by female vocalist Peggy Bennett who is well known for her performances in some of NY’s boutiques cabarets. With mellow tunes enhancing the start of the evening, Peggy choreographed a familiar mélange of holiday songs and classics of singing stars, both past and present.
Door prize tickets were given to each guest who joined us and throughout the evening raffle tickets were sold for a 50/50 raffle. As the hours passed and everyone mingled and sated, over thirty door prizes, CDs, Wine, Champagne, Sports Event Tickets, Gift Certificates and even a free Will, brought us to selecting the top winners who received the prize of an iPod, Kindle or Beauty Makeover.
Completing the festivities with the 50/50 raffle, the sole winner was happily sent off with a holiday bonus of $400.00. Such a nice prize could probably not have come at a better time of year.
As the final guests and members of the NYCPG rapped up the evening, Peggy’s final songs brought about a joyous and animated crescendo.
Salutations of hand shakes, hugs and kisses finalized the celebration leaving people elated and now fully ensconced in the holiday spirit!
