Personal Profile

Craig Lucia is the principle of The Lucia Group, Inc.. The firm specializes in all aspects of shelving and storage solutions for the commercial market, as well as institutions, retail and museums. Mr. Lucia started The Lucia Group in 1994.

Recent projects include: Ogilvy & Mather, The Pall Corp., Cushman & Wakefield, Queens Public Library, Bryant University, SVA, New York Institute of Fine Arts, The Museum of the City of New York, Christies, Christian Louboutin and Macys Federated.

    Prior to owning his own firm, Mr. Lucia held the following positions:

  • National Sales Manager for Adjustable Shelving Products Co., nine years
  • Production Manager for Advanced Structure Co., one year
  • Assistant Production Manager & Scheduler for Korfund Dynamics Corp., a Shock & Vibration Co., five years

Mr. Lucia’s background in scheduling, production and sales has given him unique insight into the capabilities of each of the manufactures that he represents and distributes. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Management from SUNY Old Westbury.

The Lucia Group, Inc. is a knowledge-based interior design resource with expertise in shelving, cabinetry and specialty storage products, based in New York City and with projects throughout the U.S. The Lucia Group provides a full service, client oriented approach that they refer to as: “The case for space”. They are a distributor of shelving and storage products of all varieties. They consult, plan, draw, field measure and fit the products and solutions they provide to any space and any application. Their products serve the commercial (business), institutional (libraries, universities, etc.), retail, museum, industrial and custom or specialty markets.

    The Lucia Group’s approach starts with:

  • Listening and witnessing — paying close attention to your needs and requests.
  • Planning and development — space planners will draw up one or more possible solutions and develop a plan to achieve your desired results.
  • Implementing and delivering — specialists will implement a plan with your input to successfully carry out your objectives.
  • Following-up of assets — clients’ comments and feedback regarding products and services are taken seriously in order to maintain good working relationships and continually strive for optimum results.

The company’s V.P. of operations (Ms. Lieve Van Der Spiegel) is a civil engineer and the VP of Marketing (Mr. Adrian Parra) is a graduate of University of Texas at Austin with a Fine Arts Degree. These individuals form a diverse group whose combined knowledge and experience allow them to identify and explore the best solution for their clients shelving and storage needs.
