Personal Profile
Carmelo Mazzaferro is the Principal and founder of CGMH Associates. His extensive background in all fields of architecture and construction include more than 19 years of hands-on experience in planning, schematic design, design development, construction documents, and construction administration.
Current projects under management include exclusive design of the Primedia Inc. headquarters in New York City for The Sapir Organization, in conjunction with Ziruale Construction. In addition, Mr. Mazzaferro is working on several design/build residential projects valued between $250,000 to $3.5million.
Prior to opening his own firm, Mr. Mazzaferro held the following positions:
TPG Architecture – Senior Associate: As a project manager Mr. Mazzaferro played a critical role in all phases of architecture as well as overseeing the construction of projects.
Ted Moudis Associates & Associate: Mr. Mazzaferro worked as an assistant project manager of corporate interiors for over four years.
William Nicholas Bodouva & Associates – Project Architect: Mr. Mazzaferro served for over five years working on large scale projects such as: Terminal One at JFK International Airport, LaGuardia Airport Central Terminal Building East Wing.
Throughout his career Mr. Carmelo Mazzaferro oversaw the production and construction of over 5 million square feet of ground-up and corporate interior space as well as residential development. His professional experience also includes construction management.
Mr. Carmelo Mazzaferro holds a Bachelor of Architecture Degree from Pratt Institute, Brooklyn, New York, graduating on the president’s list and with honors. He is the President of the Children’s Literacy Society non-profit organization. He plans to raise money for children enrolled in public schools.
